An Introduction + A Pretty Dress.

As of last friday I am 37 weeks pregnant. THIRTY-SEVEN! I would say “where did the time go?,” but honestly pregnancy takes forever. I finally feel like I have a mentally manageable countdown to the due date (16 days!). My advice to couples wanting to start a family: get pregnant before you think you’re ready. Call me crazy, but once I was “ready” I wanted my little babe that very moment! Realizing that I’d have to wait an entire year (well almost!) was painful. I usually consider myself a patient person, but when it comes to baby-baking I definitely am not.

My impatience aside, I have had a wonderful pregnancy. I can only be grateful. I decided it’s better to document things late than never! I love blogging and decided that this new chapter in my life would be the perfect time to re-kindle the fire. I will be doing a few catch up posts on my pregnancy experience and then using this blog as an outlet for my personal style and life’s musings. The outfit I’m posting today -well actually all the maternity outfits I will be posting- are from my last minute maternity shopping spree. I for some reason thought I could go my entire pregnancy without purchasing anything more than a couple pairs of maternity pants – wrong! After I accepted the reality that nothing in my closet fit, I bit the bullet and bought some awesome pieces that I am so thankful for! One of them being this pretty dress. I love the bright colours and how comfortable it is. Dresses are definitely a pregnant girls friend.
